
At first glance, this may appear to be lake nestled below a few hills, but upon closer inspection, you'll realize that it's just a concrete fence, lined with barbed wire up top. "Read more" to see one more tree illusion.
The secret is that this is not a painting at all -- it's a picture taken by National Geographic photographer, Frans Lanting in Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft Park. Lanting took this extraordinary picture of a small grove of camel thorn trees against a red sand dune (dotted with white grass) reflecting the early morning sun. Absolutely no photoshop was involved!
